Job Summary:

Serve as the program administrator of the Emergency Medical Services Program, assuring that the program reflects current work place and industry requirements. Monitor and implement accreditation standards and requirements. Work collaboratively with the Medical Director for the development and review of EMT and Paramedic field, clinical and didactic components of the programs. Prepare program budgets, monitor expenditures, supervise faculty and full-time clinical coordinator, assist with curriculum development, advise students, and maintain liaison with other LCC departments, external agencies, advisory committee, and the community. Provide didactic and clinical instruction within the program as required. Mentor and evaluate part-time and full-time faculty and staff. Provide leadership in developing strategies that advance the overall goals for diversity, equity, and inclusion for the College.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher education

Current and unencumbered State of Michigan licensure at the Paramedic and Instructor Coordinator – Paramedic levels. Both licensures must be maintained throughout the duration of employment as Program Director – Emergency Medical Services.

Field experience in the delivery of out-of-hospital emergency care

Relevant administrative/management/supervisory experience

Relevant teaching/training experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in leadership, management, curriculum design, education, EMS or related health care field from a regionally accredited institution of higher education
